“FORGED IN A WORLD WHERE CONCRETE SKYSCRAPERS AND GREY HOUSING PLAGUED THE STREETS OF THE 1950’S, BRUTALISM OFFERED A WAY OUT, A WAY TO CREATE ART FROM SOMETHING THAT WAS CONSIDERED NOTHING MORE THAN CHEAP BUILDING MATERIAL”
BÉTON BRUT // RAW CONCRETE
The debut collection from Bankside-Studio
Béton Brut is the first collection curated by Bankside-Studio. Inspired by the iconic Brutalist architecture of the 1950s, Béton Brut projects the characteristics of steel and stark, concrete structures, onto bespoke items; designed by our in-house team of creators. This collection was a passion project, developed over 9 months, featuring the work of sculptor, David Umemoto, and professional photographers. Béton Brut marks our move from hypebeast, into a fashion brand.
Bankside-Studio is a collaboration of creatives, based in the south-west of England. Our first commission incorporates photography, sculpture, film, and journalism, to deliverer a concept and collection we are proud to present.
